  8.     If the linux kernel does not boot or there are other hardware related
  9.     problems, it could be caused by the new ACPI code. Just turn it off

  20.   - IDE RAID controller

  22.     Do not use SuSE Linux 9.0 LiveEval on systems with a Promise IDE RAID
  23.     controller. Linux has difficulties to recognize your Windows RAID setup.

  25.     As long as you're using the Promise controller as a normal (UDMA) IDE
  26.     controller, there are no problems, however.

  31. To use the SuSE Linux 9.0 LiveEval CD insert it into your CD-ROM drive and
  32. boot from it.

  34. The installation program will look for free space on your first hard
  35. drive ('C:') and create these files:
  36.  
  37.   suselive.swp:        a swap file; only if you have less than
  38.                         about 160MB main memory
  39.   suselive.usr:        this will be your /home directory
  40.   suselive.900:        the current configuration
  41.  
  42. If the installation program does'nt find enough free disk space your
  43. configuration will not be saved. This means, you'll have to go through the
  44. setup procedure every time you boot this CD.

  47. NVIDIA and 3D hardware acceleration

  50.   As you cannot update any RPM, it is not possible to install the 3D
  51.   hardware accelerated X server from NVIDIA's website using this
  52.   LiveEval CD.
